Gilbert Frank, M.D.
Dr. Gilbert Frank joined Commonwealth Neonatology in 2005 from Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital, where he was an associate neonatologist. He has also worked at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado, the department of pediatrics at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington and the Frankfurt Army Regional Medical Center in Frankfurt, Germany.
Dr. Frank has co-authored five editions of the Handbook of Neonatal Intensive Care and has written extensively for medical journals. He is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia Roanoke Program.
He completed his post-graduate education at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii and Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. He received his Medical Degree from George Washington University and a B.S. in biology from Washington & Lee University.
